FBTS has also forged a worldwide marketing and distribution agreement with a privately owned Bio-Tech Research Company, which has been involved in the development of sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology for more than 30 years. This company has striven for excellence in its products and has concentrated on providing unique solutions for farmers and food sector producers. It prides itself on involvement and liaison with its clients, its staff and the community.
With the utmost concern for the responsible development and fostering diversity, we want to reconcile the modern challenges of agri-business with the adoption of solutions that are tailored to regional requirements and economics. Additionally, continuing research and development provide a guarantee of products that are always at the technological leading-edge
Our research has developed avant-garde products which provide balanced nutrition for all plants by stimulating microbial activity that is agronomically useful in the rhizosphere (soil) and phyllosphere (leaf system). The use of our techniques and products encourages stimulation of, and an increase in, the immune system of the plants. The active and passive defense systems of the plants are likewise stimulated. The need for the use of pesticides is thus significantly reduced which in turn, means that the danger of their residual presence in the harvest is considerably lessened.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:
General agronomic progress of the cultures is tested and all specific nutritional problems such as plant diseases, deficiencies, etc are identified and resolved. Also, results of analyses of soil, water and leaves are interpreted. Levels of nutrition are developed depending upon the complete nature of the cultures. Development, selection and integration of nutritious solutions for hydroponics and cultures that are out of the ground, in either closed or open systems, have their main parameters thoroughly checked; i.e. electrical conductivity, pH, etc.
CHEMICAL ANALYSES Soil analyses (for texture, macro-, meso-, and micro-element content, organic substances, salinity, pH and relationships between the elements, etc.). Leaf diagnosis (main macro-, meso-, microelements and relative calculation of relationships and indices) and GATE analyses of irrigation water (main chemical element content), hardness, pH, electrical conductivity, SAR, suspended solids, etc.). Analysis of nutritional solutions and recycled water for the re-use in closed hydroponic systems.
PRODUCT RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGIES
Through related companies, our company researches, experiments and develops products and modern technologies in support of agronomic management of the main specialised cultures.

FULLCRHUM™ AND RHYZOSPHERE
What the rhizosphere is! The rhizosphere is where the plant’s roots are developed, which means the health of this area is essential. The rhizosphere is made up of an agglomeration of fungi, (mycorrhizae) and bacteria; i.e. pseudomonas spp., bacillus spp., actinomyces and saprophytic fungi (Trichoderma spp.) This microbiological network in the root structure is fundamental to the plant’s health. Healthy plants release radical exudates into the rhizosphere following chlorophyllaceous photosynthesis. In effect, this is the plant’s means of ridding itself of waste products.
The radical exudates that are damaging to the plant convert into valuable food for the rhizosphere’s bacteria, which in turn nourish themselves by transforming the bacteria into nutritional substances for the plant by composting them.
The use of chemical fertilisers, particularly urea, alters the nature of the microbial network in the root’s structure, rendering it less hospitable to the rhizosphere’s bacteria. The subsequent decrease in their number leads to a substantial chemical accumulation and therefore, an increase of radical exudates around the root capillaries. This in turn affects the root’s ability to absorb nutritional substances from the soil.
The foregoing is by way of an explanation as to why using a traditional fertilizer results in reduced nutrient efficiency with the concomitant costs of the fertilizer and reduction of the crop. To be an effective producer, the plant needs to be in natural balance with its parent soil. If not, the plant cannot absorb what it needs and it is therefore unhealthy and the use of artificial chemicals is totally uneconomic when compared with the FULLCRHUM™ natural bacterial enhancement process.
In fact, what we are missing in soils is not the nutritional substances, but that which helps the plant to absorb them.
In addition to supplying food to the plant, FULLCRHUM™ contains microbiological flora of the rhizosphere that is so important for creating a balance between the plant and the soil, thus allowing the plant to absorb much more
Therefore we have an accurate “disposal” and transformation of the radical exudates from waste to nutrition which brings productivity to roots and capillaries that no longer need virgin soil, free of radical exudates due to the bacteria of the FULLCRHUM™ replacing them and re-establishing a rhizosphere similar to that which is rich in humus – forest soils being a prime example. This results in a saving of money, space and time.
Finally, FULLCRHUM™ is easy to use, thanks to research and accurate production processes. It contains everything that a plant needs in a liquid formula that is easy to dilute in water. The multiplication of useful bacteria exerts an opposing and suppressive action towards phytopathogenic micro-organisms which typically thrive in soils that are poor in humus. The mechanisms of this opposing/repressive action towards the phytopathogenic flora focus on intervening links between micro-organism and pathogen; these mechanisms can be summarised as follows: micro-parasitism: occurring with the lysis of the fungi cells and pathogenic mould or of nematodes through actions of enzymatic attack;
Hygiene of the soil: This occurs with the admission into the soil of metabolites that are toxic for pathogenic micro-organisms, of which phenols, tannins, auxins and chlorogenic acid cause biochemical resistance;
Food competition: This last action takes place with the use of nutritional substances present in the soil by new micro-organisms.
Strengthening of the so-called “resistance on the threshold”, or, rather favouring the structural thickening of the textures, of the epicuticular levels of protection of the leaves and roots that impedes internal penetration of parasites, thus affecting the plants. It has been established that none of these micro-organisms have any toxicity either for humans, plants or for animals.

Stimulation of bacterial activity allows the useful organisms to occupy spaces, both on the vegetables and in the surrounding soil, in a complex series of physical, chemical and biological reactions providing support against agents causing plant disease with a four-fold action:
reduction of spaces that otherwise can be occupied by pathogens;
dramatic control of pathogens by biological competition;
emphasis on reactions of the vegetables’ own immune system;
Stimulation in production of phytoalexins.
